This document provides instructions for the Hanna Instruments HI 931100 and HI 931101, rugged waterproof meters designed for measuring salt (NaCl) and sodium content. The HI 931100 utilizes an ion-selective electrode with automatic ranging capabilities to cover a wide measurement spectrum without recalibration. The HI 931101 employs the FC 300B combination sodium electrode, offering automatic two-point calibration for precise readings of sodium concentration.

The recommended working temperature is around 20-25°C (68-77°F).
You must immerse the tip of the electrode at least 2.5 cm (1 inch) into the sample.
Wait approximately 10 to 15 minutes until no drifting is observed for at least a couple of minutes.
The instrument can operate in an environment with a maximum relative humidity of 100%.
