The LMX2522/LMX2532 PLLatinum™ frequency synthesizer system with integrated VCOs is designed for use in Korean PCS (K-PCS) and Korean Cellular (K-Cellular) cellular phones and CDMA (1xRTT, IS-95) mobile phones.
The LMX2522 and LMX2532 are high-performance, low-power frequency synthesizer systems optimized for Korean PCS (K-PCS) and Korean Cellular (K-Cellular) CDMA mobile handsets with GPS. These devices utilize a proprietary digital phase locked loop technique to generate stable, low-noise local oscillator signals for up and down conversion in wireless communications.
The system includes an integrated RF voltage controlled oscillator (VCO), a GPS VCO, a loop filter, and a fractional-N RF PLL based on a delta sigma modulator. It also features an Integer-N IF PLL with a programmable charge pump to support flexible loop filter designs. The devices operate from a 2.7 V to 3.3 V supply and are available in a small 28-pin leadless leadframe package.
| Supply Voltage Range | 2.7 V to 3.3 V |
|---|---|
| Package Type | 28-Pin LLP Package |
| Lock Time (RF PLL) | 500 to 800 us |
| Phase Noise (@100 kHz offset) | -113 to -117 dBc/Hz |
| RF Output Power (Typical) | -2 to 9 dBm |
The devices operate with a supply voltage ranging from 2.7 V to 3.3 V.
The total supply current is 17 mA at 2.8 V.
The lock time is between 500 and 800 microseconds for a 30 MHz band.
