Agilent 567 Compound Pesticide Library Manual

This document introduces Agilent's Retention Time Locking (RTL) software, which can simplify compound identification. The software can be used in conjunction with Agilent's 6890N GC system, high-sensitivity element-specific detectors or the 5973 inert MSD, as well as Retention Time Locking pesticide library and ChemStation software, to accelerate and simplify screening and confirmation.

Frequently asked questions

What is Retention Time Locking (RTL)?

RTL provides analysts with the ability to precisely match retention times in any Agilent GC system to those in another Agilent GC system with the same nominal method and column.

How does RTL handle column changes?

Once the method is locked, any future deviation in retention time due to column changes can be compensated for by re-adjusting pressure using an internal calibration.
