Agilent 4UHV Ion Pump Controller Datasheet

Agilent 4UHV Ion Pump Controller can control up to four ion pumps simultaneously and independently. It can control any type (Diode, Noble Diode, StarCell) and size (from 20 to 500 l/s) of ion pumps. A large four-line LCD display allows simultaneous reading of individual pump voltage, current and pressure. The variable voltage feature ensures optimum pumping speed and pressure reading throughout the operating pressure range. Built-in set points, remote operation and RS232/485 computer interface are standard (Profibus and Ethernet optional).

Frequently asked questions

What types of ion pumps does the 4UHV controller support?

It operates up to four pumps simultaneously and independently, supporting Diode, Noble Diode, and StarCell types.

What is the size range of ion pumps supported by the 4UHV?

The controller supports ion pumps of any size from 20 to 500 l/s.

Does the 4UHV controller require additional filters for low noise?

No, the AC component of the HV output is reduced to a minimum, eliminating the need for additional filters in many cases.

Which pump elements require positive voltage and which require negative voltage?

Diode style elements (Diode & Noble Diode) need positive voltages, while Triode style elements (old style Triode & StarCell) need negative voltages.
