This document describes the characteristics of the DS1207 TimeKey in detail, including non-reversible decryption, time allocation, partitioned storage, user-insertable packaging, etc.
The DS1207 TimeKey is a miniature security device manufactured by Dallas Semiconductor. It stores a user-definable 64-bit identification code and a 64-bit security match code that protects 384 bits of read/write nonvolatile memory. The device features a serial interface requiring only three signals: Clock, Reset, and Data Input/Output.
The system allows a time allotment from one day to 512 days for trial periods, rentals, and leasing.
The TimeKey includes 384 bits of secure read/write memory.
The internal oscillator has a period of 82.4 ms.
