This document introduces the features of MKP3V120/D bidirectional triggers, including maximum ratings, applications, and marking.
The MKP3V120 is a bidirectional SIDAC device designed for direct interface with AC power lines. It switches from a blocking state to a low‑voltage on‑state when the breakover voltage is reached, and can be used to trigger SCRs and Triacs in applications such as high‑pressure sodium lighting, strobes, ignitors and high‑voltage regulators.
The datasheet provides maximum ratings, electrical and thermal characteristics, package dimensions and ordering information. It also includes typical performance graphs and notes on handling and reliability.
