The UGN/UGS3059KA and UGN/UGS3060KA ac-coupled Hall-effect gear-tooth sensors are monolithic integrated circuits that switch in response to changing differential magnetic fields created by moving ferrous targets. These devices are ideal for use in non-zero-speed, gear-tooth-based speed, position, and timing applications such as in anti-lock braking systems, transmissions, and crankshafts.
The 3059 and 3060 are AC‑coupled Hall‑effect gear‑tooth sensors that switch in response to differential magnetic fields from moving ferrous targets. Each device integrates two Hall transducers, on‑chip amplification, a differential band‑pass filter, Schmitt trigger, and an open‑collector output, allowing operation from 4.5 V to 24 V and output currents up to 20 mA.
The datasheet provides detailed electrical and magnetic characteristics, typical operating curves, package dimensions, and extensive application information, including magnet selection, target design, and system integration tips. Both sensors are supplied in a 5‑pin plastic SIP and are offered in multiple temperature‑range options (UGN and UGS).
