This document describes a high-performance RISC CPU product with a C-compiler optimized architecture/instruction set, linear program memory addressing, linear data memory addressing, and various peripheral features.
The PIC18CXX2 family is a high‑performance 8‑bit microcontroller line offering up to 40 MHz operation, up to 2 M‑byte program memory addressing, and a rich set of peripherals including timers, capture/compare/PWM modules, MSSP, and a 10‑bit ADC. Four devices are covered: PIC18C242, PIC18C252, PIC18C442, and PIC18C452, available in 28‑pin and 40‑pin packages.
The datasheet contains a device overview, pin diagrams for DIP, PLCC, TQFP and SOIC packages, detailed peripheral feature tables, electrical characteristics, packaging information, and revision history. It also lists development support resources and contact information for Microchip worldwide sales and service.
