The TLP1209(C7) and TLP1221(C7) are digital output photointerrupters that combine a GaAs infrared LED with a high‑sensitivity silicon photo IC. The output goes low when the light beam is blocked. They are supplied in a single‑sided screw‑mount package for 5 V operation and feature an open‑collector digital output.
The devices are specified for use in copiers, page printers, facsimiles, vending machines and banking terminal equipment. They include a TXL‑P series connector from Taiko Denki, a polycarbonate housing (UL94V‑2) and are rated for a wide temperature range and low current consumption.
| Output Voltage (TLP1209) | 5 V |
|---|---|
| Low Level Output Current | 50 mA |
| Maximum Forward Current (LED) | 16.5 mA |
| Slit Width | 0.5 mm |
| Weight (typical) | 2.5 g |
The screw should be tightened to a clamping torque of 0.59 N·m.
The devices use a TXL‑P series connector made by Taiko Denki Co., Ltd.
The low‑level output current is specified at 50 mA.
