SFH 9201 Reflective Interrupter is an optical interrupter with optimal working distance, low saturation voltage, separated photodiodes and phototransistors.
The SFH 9201 reflective interrupter combines an IR‑GaAs emitting diode with a silicon NPN phototransistor. It features a daylight cut‑off filter, galvanic isolation between emitter and detector, and a low saturation voltage, making it suitable for position reporting, end‑position switching, speed monitoring and motion transmission.
The datasheet provides maximum ratings, electrical characteristics, switching times, package dimensions and recommended soldering profiles. It also includes handling and packaging instructions for lead‑free SMT assembly.
| Optimal operating distance | 1 mm to 5 mm |
|---|---|
| Forward current (max) | 50 mA |
| Collector current (max) | 20 mA |
| Power dissipation (max) | 100 mW |
| Storage temperature range | -40 °C to +100 °C |
| Ambient temperature range | -40 °C to +100 °C |
The device works best at distances between 1 mm and 5 mm.
The maximum forward current is 50 mA and the typical forward voltage is 1.25 V.
IR‑Reflow soldering is recommended, with a peak temperature of 260 °C for up to 20 seconds.
It is used for position reporting, end‑position switching, speed monitoring and motion transmission.
