This document provides a detailed overview of the Intel 28F002B 16-KB 3.3 V serial Flash memory device features and operation.
The 2‑Mbit SmartVoltage boot block flash memory family provides flexible voltage operation (3.0 V‑3.6 V and 5 V) with separate Vcc and Vpp pins, allowing low‑power reads at 3.3 V and high‑speed reads at 5 V. Each device contains a 16‑KB protected boot block, two 8‑KB parameter blocks, and main blocks of 96 KB and 128 KB, all of which are independently erasable and programmable up to 100,000 cycles at commercial temperature.
These flash memories are offered in 40‑lead TSOP, 44‑lead PSOP, 48‑lead TSOP, and 56‑lead TSOP packages, making them suitable for a wide range of embedded applications such as BIOS storage, printer firmware, digital cellular phone storage, and other low‑power, high‑performance embedded systems.
