About this manual

The MAX293, MAX294, and MAX297 are 8th‑order low‑pass elliptic switched‑capacitor filters that can be clock‑tuned from 0.1 Hz up to 25 kHz (MAX293/MAX294) or 50 kHz (MAX297). They require no external resistors or capacitors and offer steep roll‑off with high stop‑band rejection.

The devices are available in 8‑pin DIP and 16‑pin wide‑SO packages, operate from a single +5 V supply or dual +5 V supplies, and include an uncommitted op‑amp for anti‑aliasing or post‑filtering. Detailed pin descriptions, ordering information, and application notes are provided throughout the document.
