About this manual

The ADV7342 and ADV7343 are high‑speed, 6‑channel, 11‑bit video DACs that encode composite, S‑Video, component YPrPb and RGB signals for standard‑definition (SD), enhanced‑definition (ED) and high‑definition (HD) video formats. The devices include an on‑chip video timing generator, test‑pattern generator, programmable filters, and support for both 3.3 V and 1.8 V digital interfaces.

Typical applications include DVD recorders, Blu‑ray players and other multimedia equipment that require multiformat video output. The datasheet provides detailed electrical specifications, pin descriptions, register maps and timing diagrams to aid hardware designers.
