ADV7344 is a multiformat video encoder with 6 Noise Shaped Video® (NSV) 14-bit video DACs. It supports SMPTE 274M (1080i), 296M (720p) and 240M (1035i), and supports NTSC M, PAL B/D/G/H/I/M/N, PAL 60.
The ADV7344 is a high‑speed digital‑to‑analog video encoder in a 64‑pin LQFP package. It provides six 14‑bit noise‑shaped video DACs and supports composite, S‑Video, component YPrPb and RGB outputs for standard definition (SD), enhanced definition (ED) and high definition (HD) video formats. The device includes an on‑chip video timing generator, test‑pattern generator, and programmable features such as filter control, gamma correction, and CGMS.
The chip operates from 1.71 V to 3.63 V supplies, supports both 3.3 V and 1.8 V I²C interfaces, and offers a wide temperature range of –40 °C to +85 °C. It can handle input clocks of 27 MHz for SD/ED and 74.25 MHz for HD, with optional oversampling to reduce external filtering requirements. Power‑saving functions like cable detection and DAC auto‑power‑down minimize consumption.
