TFDU5307 is an infrared transceiver module produced by Vishay, which supports the latest IrDA physical layer standard, supports IrDA speeds up to 1.152Mbit/s (MIR) and carrier based remote control modes up to 2MHz
The TFDU5307 infrared transceiver module complies with the latest IrDA physical‑layer specification (MIR, up to 1.152 Mbit/s) and includes a PIN photodiode, an infrared emitter (IRED) and a low‑power control IC in a single low‑profile package. It operates from 2.7 V to 5.5 V and requires only a supply‑bypass capacitor and a series resistor for current limiting.
Typical applications include cellular phones, digital cameras, printers, fax machines, PDAs, video‑conferencing systems and external infrared adapters. The device offers a tri‑state output, shutdown mode with <5 µA current, and programmable pulse‑duration modes for compatibility with SIR and ENDEC receivers.
| Supply voltage range (VCC1/VCC2) | 2.7 V – 5.5 V |
|---|---|
| Receive‑mode supply current | 0.55 mA typ |
| Shutdown supply current | < 5 µA |
| Package dimensions (L × W × H) | 8.5 mm × 2.9 mm × 2.5 mm |
Only a supply‑bypass capacitor and a series resistor for the IRED current are needed; additional filtering components are optional depending on the power‑supply quality.
Yes, the device is lead‑free and conforms to RoHS 2002/95/EC and WEEE 2002/96EC directives.
