This product is a phototransistor from Vishay Telefunken. It can be used as a photoelectric switch or photoelectric sensor
The TCUT1200 optical sensor from Vishay integrates an emitting light source and two phototransistor detectors on the same optical axis. It operates at a wavelength of 950 nm and provides a channel centre‑to‑centre distance of 0.8 mm, making it suitable for precise position sensing in encoders, motion‑direction detection, computer mice and track‑balls.
The device is supplied in a surface‑mountable (SMD) package 4 mm high, with a maximum reverse voltage of 5 V on the emitter, forward current of 25 mA, and a power dissipation rating of 75 mW. Electrical characteristics are given for an ambient temperature of 25 °C, and the sensor can operate over a temperature range of –40 °C to +85 °C. Packaging options include taped and reeled reels, with moisture‑protective aluminium bags for storage.
