About this manual

The PCM3501 is a 16‑bit delta‑sigma codec designed for modem analog front‑end and speech‑processing applications. It integrates ADC and DAC sections, differential inputs and outputs, on‑chip anti‑aliasing and high‑pass filters, and a synchronous serial interface that can operate as master or slave.

The device operates from a single 2.7 V to 3.6 V supply, draws only 60 µA in power‑down mode, and supports sampling frequencies from 7.2 kHz to 26 kHz with a typical dynamic range of 88 dB. Up to four PCM3501 units can share one 4‑wire serial bus using time‑slot mode.
