About this manual

The VC series balanced hydronic valves are designed for domestic boiler heating and cooling applications. They are available as 2‑way (on‑off) or 3‑way (diverting or mixing) units and can be controlled by low‑ or line‑voltage SPST or SPDT controllers, such as thermostats or flow switches. The actuator head is removable and interchangeable, and the valve operates silently with minimal power consumption.

The handbook includes a series overview, technical specifications, dimensions, wiring diagrams, installation data, adjustment and service procedures, as well as ordering information and accessories. Detailed tables list pipe fitting sizes, voltage options, power consumption, pressure ratings, and material construction.

Frequently asked questions

What control voltages can the VC series valves use?

They can be controlled by low‑ or line‑voltage SPST or SPDT controllers, with actuator options for 24 Vac, 100‑130 Vac, or 200‑240 Vac.

Does the actuator consume power continuously?

No, the actuator only takes power while driving the valve to the commanded position, minimizing consumption.

Can the actuator head be installed without draining the water system?

Yes, the actuator head installation does not require draining of the system.
