The ICL7136 is a high performance, low power 31/2 digit, A/D converter with auto zero, zero drift of less than 1µV/oC, input bias current of 10pA (Max) and rollover error of less than one count.
The ICL7136 integrates a 3½‑digit A/D converter, seven‑segment LCD drivers, reference and clock in a single low‑power IC. It supports true differential inputs, auto‑zero, and overrange recovery in one conversion period, making it suitable for panel meters, load‑cell and bridge‑type transducer applications.
The device is offered in 40‑lead PDIP and 44‑lead MQFP packages, operates from a single 9 V supply (V+‑V‑ up to 15 V for PDIP), and consumes less than 1 mW. Typical specifications include 1 pA input bias, <15 µV p‑p noise, and a 48 kHz on‑chip oscillator.
| Supply Voltage (PDIP) | up to 15 V |
|---|---|
| Input Bias Current (typical) | 1 pA |
| Noise (peak‑to‑peak) | ≤ 15 µV |
| Power Consumption | < 1 mW |
| Oscillator Frequency | 48 kHz (typical) |
| Full‑Scale Analog Input Voltage | 200 mV or 2 V |
It offers first‑reading overrange recovery in a single conversion period.
The PDIP version can be powered with up to 15 V between V+ and V‑.
The device consumes less than 1 mW of power.
The typical input bias current is 1 pA.
