About this manual

The LP38690/LP38692 series are 1 A low‑dropout CMOS linear regulators offering tight output tolerance (2.5 % typical) and a very low dropout voltage of 450 mV at full load. They feature a PMOS power transistor with virtually no DC base‑drive current, resulting in ground pin current below 100 pA, and include thermal overload protection and foldback current limiting.

These devices are supplied in 6‑Lead LLP, SOT‑223 and TO‑252 packages and are suited for hard‑disk drives, notebook computers, battery‑powered devices and portable instrumentation. Ordering information, pin descriptions, connection diagrams and detailed electrical characteristics are provided for design engineers.
