About this manual

The ADM8690, ADM8691 and ADM8695 are single‑chip supervisory circuits that provide microprocessor reset, battery backup switchover, watchdog timer, RAM write protection and power‑fail detection for microprocessor systems, computers, controllers, intelligent instruments and automotive applications. They operate from a 5 V supply, consume low power (0.7 mW) and can drive up to 100 mA output current.

The family is offered in 8‑lead PDIP and SOIC packages for the ADM8690 and in 16‑lead PDIP, SOIC and TSSOP packages for the ADM8691/ADM8695. The datasheet includes electrical specifications, absolute maximum ratings, pin descriptions, typical performance curves and ordering information.
