This document describes the features and characteristics of the IDT54/74FCT240/244T/AT/CT/DT - 2240/2244T/AT/CT, IDT54/74FCT540/541/2541T/AT/CT FAST CMOS OCTAL BUFFER/LINE DRIVER MILITARY AND COMMERCIAL TEMPERATURE RANGES product
The IDT54/74FCT family provides octal buffer/line driver functions built on a fast CMOS process. Variants include non‑inverting and inverting versions, radiation‑tolerant and radiation‑enhanced parts, and a range of speed grades (Std., A, C, D). They are offered in DIP, SOIC, SSOP, QSOP, CERPACK and LCC packages.
Key electrical characteristics include low input/output leakage (<1 µA), typical VOH of 3.3 V and VOL of 0.3 V, and high‑drive options delivering up to –15 mA IOH and 64 mA IOL. The devices operate over commercial (‑55 °C to +70 °C) and military (‑55 °C to +125 °C) temperature ranges and meet JEDEC and MIL‑STD‑883 specifications.
| Input leakage current | <1 µA (max) |
|---|---|
| Output high voltage (VOH) | 3.3 V (typ.) |
| Output low voltage (VOL) | 0.3 V (typ.) |
| High‑drive output current (FCT240/244) | -15 mA IOH, 64 mA IOL |
| Resistor‑output drive current (FCT2240/2244/2541) | -15 mA IOH, 12 mA IOL |
| Commercial temperature range | -55 °C to +70 °C |
| Military temperature range | -55 °C to +125 °C |
| Quiescent power supply current (Icc) | 0.5 mA typical |
The maximum input and output leakage current is less than 1 µA.
The devices are offered in DIP, SOIC, SSOP, QSOP, CERPACK and LCC packages.
Typical VOH is 3.3 V and typical VOL is 0.3 V.
