About this manual

The Stellaris Family Development Kit provides a complete hardware and software platform for developing embedded applications with ARM Cortex‑M microcontrollers. The board includes two UART transceivers, a USB 2.0 full‑speed interface, a 20‑pin JTAG debug connector, EEPROM and flash memory, LEDs, a pushbutton, and optional daughterboards for various package options.

The kit ships with a full software suite, including ARM RealView compilation tools, Keil uVision, IAR C/C++ compiler, GNU toolchain, Eclipse IDE, and pre‑emptive RTOS kernels, allowing developers to prototype, debug, and program the target microcontrollers directly via USB without an external emulator.
