About this manual

The TPS2045A‑TPS2058A family provides high‑side N‑channel MOSFET switches for power‑distribution applications that may encounter heavy capacitive loads or short circuits. Each switch includes an internal charge pump, over‑current (OC) logic output, thermal shutdown, undervoltage lockout, and ESD protection. Enable inputs are TTL‑ and CMOS‑compatible and can be active‑high or active‑low depending on the device variant.

Key electrical characteristics include a 2.7 V to 5.5 V operating voltage range, 250 mA continuous current per channel, on‑state resistance up to 135 mΩ, and a standby supply current as low as 10 µA (single/dual) or 20 µA (triple/quad). The devices are offered in SOIC‑D packages with options for tape‑and‑reel or taped packaging.

Frequently asked questions

What is the maximum continuous current per channel?

Each switch can continuously source up to 250 mA per channel.

What input voltage range does the device support?

The devices operate from 2.7 V up to 5.5 V.

How is an over‑current condition indicated?

The OCx pin provides an active‑low open‑drain output when over‑current or over‑temperature occurs.

What protection features are built into the switches?

They include over‑current detection, thermal shutdown, undervoltage lockout, and limited ESD protection.
