This document describes the features and characteristics of Analog Devices' Dual-Digital Variable Gain Amplifiers AD8366 Rev. A, including matched pair of differential, digitally controlled VGAs, gain range, operating frequency, noise figure, OIP3, HD2/HD3, etc.
The AD8366 is a matched pair of fully differential, low‑noise, low‑distortion variable gain amplifiers. Each channel can be programmed separately or together in 0.25 dB steps over a gain range of 4.5 dB to 20.25 dB, providing flat frequency response to 70 MHz and a 3 dB bandwidth of 600 MHz. It operates from a single 5 V supply and includes features such as output common‑mode control, optional DC offset correction, and both serial and parallel gain‑control interfaces.
Typical applications include baseband I/Q receivers, diversity receivers, and wideband ADC drivers. The device is supplied in a 32‑lead LFCSP package, rated for –40 °C to +85 °C operation, and consumes about 180 mA when enabled.
