AD8079 is a dual-channel gain amplifier produced by Analog Devices. It has two gain options of +2.0 and +2.2, and the gain accuracy can reach 0.1%. The maximum output drive current is 70mA, which can drive 8 75Ω loads.
The AD8070 series dual buffer is designed for ±5 V supplies and provides excellent input‑output isolation, low crosstalk (<‑70 dB at 5 MHz) and tight gain matching (0.1%). It features factory‑set gain resistors for +2.0 (A grade) or +2.2 (B grade) operation, a small‑signal bandwidth of 260 MHz and a large‑signal bandwidth of 100 MHz, while consuming only 50 mW per amplifier.
Typical applications include differential video line drivers, A‑to‑D converters, professional cameras and video switchers. The device is supplied in a small 8‑pin SOIC (SO‑8) package and is rated for industrial temperature operation from –40 °C to +85 °C.
| Output Current (typical) | 70 mA |
|---|---|
| Power Supply Operating Range | ±3 V to ±6 V |
| Gain (AD8079A) | +2.0 |
| Gain (AD8079B) | +2.2 |
The AD8079A is factory‑set to a gain of +2.0, while the AD8079B is set to a gain of +2.2.
Each amplifier can deliver up to 70 mA of output current.
The device operates from ±3 V to ±6 V supplies.
Each amplifier can drive up to four back‑terminated 75 Ω loads (two per side).
