The bq2407x series is a highly integrated Li-ion linear charger and system power path management device targeted at space-limited portable applications. It operates from either a USB port or AC adapter, with a high input voltage range and input overvoltage protection to support low-cost unregulated adapters. The bq2407x powers the system while simultaneously and independently charging the battery, reducing the number of charge and discharge cycles on the battery, enabling proper charge termination, and allowing the system to run with a defective or absent battery pack.
