MAX8662/MAX8663 is a power management IC produced by Maxim for single-cell lithium-ion battery-powered devices. It is efficient and compact, and is suitable for smart phones, PDAs, Internet devices and other portable devices.
The MAX8662 and MAX8663 are compact power‑management ICs designed for single‑cell Li‑ion battery‑operated devices such as smartphones, PDAs and portable media players. They integrate two synchronous buck regulators, a boost LED driver (MAX8662 only), four low‑dropout linear regulators and a linear charger, all managed by Maxim’s Smart Power Selector™.
The devices are offered in thin‑QFN packages (MAX8662: 6 mm × 6 mm, 48‑pin; MAX8663: 5 mm × 5 mm, 40‑pin) and operate over a temperature range of –40 °C to +85 °C. Detailed electrical characteristics, pin configurations and ordering information are provided in the datasheet.
