The TPS71xx integrated circuits are a family of micropower low-dropout (LDO) voltage regulators. They achieve an order of magnitude reduction in dropout voltage and quiescent current compared to conventional LDO performance by replacing the typical pnp pass transistor with a PMOS device. These products feature very low dropout voltage, extremely low quiescent current, extremely low sleep-state current, and a wide output current range.
