About this manual

The SP6122 is a minimum‑on‑time PFM buck controller designed for compact DC‑DC step‑down converters. It operates from a single 3 V to 7 V supply and delivers 1 A to 5 A output in an 8‑pin MSOP package. Key features include over 90 % efficiency, internal soft‑start, programmable or fixed 1.5 V output, loss‑less adjustable current limit, and fault‑flag signaling.

Typical applications are video cards, portable high‑power devices, microcontroller power supplies, industrial control and distributed power systems. The datasheet provides electrical characteristics, pin descriptions, layout guidelines, component selection advice and an evaluation‑board example to help designers implement the controller efficiently.
