The MSP430x4xx family is a low-power microcontroller manufactured by Texas Instruments. It features a 16-bit RISC architecture, a 12-bit A/D converter, a 16-bit Timer_B and Timer_A, a serial communication interface (USART), a brownout detector, a supply voltage monitor, serial on-board programming, and more.
The MSP430x43x and MSP430x44x families are mixed‑signal microcontrollers offering a 16‑bit RISC CPU, multiple low‑power modes, and a range of integrated peripherals such as 12‑bit ADCs, timers, USARTs, and an LCD driver with up to 160 segments. They are targeted at portable measurement and industrial control applications where battery life and compact size are critical.
The devices are available in various QFP packages (80‑pin, 100‑pin) and provide flexible I/O configurations, on‑chip comparators, and programmable voltage supervisors. Detailed terminal functions, mechanical dimensions, and ordering information are included in the data sheet.
