The LT1054 is a bipolar, switched-capacitor voltage converter with regulator. It provides higher output current and significantly lower voltage losses than previously available converters. It also provides regulation, a feature previously not available in switched-capacitor voltage converters.
The LT1054 switched‑capacitor voltage converter provides regulated output from 3.5 V to 15 V with typical voltage loss of only 1.1 V at 100 mA. It features a low quiescent current of about 2.5 mA, an internal 25 kHz oscillator that can be adjusted or externally synchronized, and a shutdown mode that reduces supply current to roughly 100 µA.
Two temperature‑graded versions are offered: the LT1054C operates from 0 °C to 70 °C, while the LT10541 covers –40 °C to 85 °C. The device is available in PDIP, SOIC and DW packages, and can be paralleled for higher current applications.
| Maximum output current | 100 mA |
|---|---|
| Quiescent current | 2.5 mA (typical) |
| Operating temperature (LT1054C) | 0 °C to 70 °C |
| Operating temperature (LT10541) | –40 °C to 85 °C |
| Maximum supply voltage (unregulated) | 16 V |
The typical voltage drop at 100 mA output is about 1.1 V.
The LT1054C operates from 0 °C to 70 °C, while the LT10541 operates from –40 °C to 85 °C.
