About this manual

The MAX11835 haptic actuator controller provides a complete solution for driving single‑layer, multilayer piezo, or electroactive polymer actuators. It generates user‑programmable waveforms (sine, trapezoidal, square, pulse) via an I²C interface and includes a boost regulator, pattern storage memory, and waveform generator in a single package.

Features include up to 192 bytes of on‑chip waveform storage, support for up to 16 stored waveforms, a low‑power mode with 1 pA deep‑sleep current, and a 30 V high‑voltage boost switch. The device operates from 1.7 V‑3.6 V digital supply and 2.7 V‑5.25 V boost supply, making it suitable for mobile devices, automotive infotainment, keypads, and other touch‑interface applications.
