This manual introduces the features and usage of the 78Q8430 STEM demo board.
This manual describes the 78Q8430 STEM Demo Board, a design example for a 10/100BASE‑TX MAC+PHY daughter card that plugs into STi5100 and STi5514 evaluation systems. It details the board’s hardware interface, jumper and dip‑switch settings, and required connections for system integration.
The document also lists the package contents, safety and ESD precautions, minimum hardware and software requirements, ordering information, and related documentation available from Teridian Semiconductor Corporation.
| Ethernet transceiver type | 10/100BASE‑TX Fast Ethernet MAC/PHY with auto‑sensing and auto‑negotiation |
|---|---|
| Integrated MAC SRAM | 32 KB internal transmit and receive FIFO |
| Supported bus widths | 32‑bit, 16‑bit and 8‑bit |
| Power supply | Single +3.3 V |
| Optional EEPROM interface | Available for configuration data |
