AD669 is a monolithic 16-bit D/A converter with on-board reference and output amplifier. It is manufactured on Analog Devices’ BiMOS II process, providing 16-bit parallel input, double-buffered latches, low jitter, low distortion and other functions.
The AD669 DACPORT® is a complete 16‑bit digital‑to‑analog converter that integrates a buried Zener reference, output amplifier, current switches and double‑buffered latches on a single chip. It offers 15‑bit monotonicity over temperature, low glitch performance and optional MIL‑STD‑883 compliance.
The device supports both unipolar (0 V to +10 V) and bipolar (‑10 V to +10 V) output configurations, selectable by pin programming. It can operate from ±12 V supplies and provides internal or external reference options, with gain drift as low as 15 ppm/°C and THD+N of 0.009 %.
| Resolution | 16 bits |
|---|---|
| Unipolar Output Range | 0 V to +10 V |
| Bipolar Output Range | ‑10 V to +10 V |
| Integral Nonlinearity (INL) | ±0.003 % of FSR |
| Differential Nonlinearity (DNL) | ±0.003 % of FSR |
| Signal‑to‑Noise Ratio (SNR) | 83 dB min |
The AD669 can be programmed for a unipolar range of 0 V to +10 V or a bipolar range of –10 V to +10 V.
The internal buried Zener reference is trimmed to 10.000 V with a maximum error of ±0.2 %.
VCC to AGND may be between –0.3 V and +17.0 V.
