MAX3050/MAX3057 is a CAN bus interface device for automotive systems, with ±80V fault protection function, supporting 40kbps to 500kbps data rate, and can be used in automotive systems, HVAC controllers, telecom systems and 72V systems.
The MAX3050 and MAX3057 are CAN transceivers that interface between a CAN controller and the bus lines. They are designed for automotive and industrial applications, offering four operating modes (high‑speed, slope‑control, standby, and shutdown) and an AutoShutdown feature on the MAX3050.
The devices operate from a single +5 V supply, draw low standby current, and provide ±80 V fault protection on the CANH and CANL lines. The datasheet includes absolute maximum ratings, electrical characteristics, timing diagrams, pin descriptions, and typical operating curves.
