This user manual describes how to get started with the Development Kit. You will also find detailed description of the evaluation board and advice how to develop your own applications.
The CC1000DK Development Kit provides a complete evaluation platform for the CC1000 single‑chip transceiver. It includes two evaluation boards, a PC parallel‑port interface, and accessories such as SMA adapters and antennas. The kit is intended to let users quickly evaluate RF performance and develop custom applications using SmartRF® Studio software.
The manual describes the hardware layout, voltage supply options, RF section, and signal interfaces. It also gives step‑by‑step instructions for setting up transmitter and receiver configurations, measuring current, and using the lock and RSSI signals. Safety and regulatory notes are included at the end.
| RF output power | up to 10 mW (10 dBm), programmable in 1 dB steps |
|---|---|
| Sensitivity | -109 dBm for 10% bit error rate |
| IF output | 10.7 MHz |
| RF filtering options | SAW or LC selectable |
| Supply voltage | selectable 3 V regulated or 4‑10 V unregulated |
| Maximum data rate | 9.6 kbit/s (Manchester) / 19.2 kbaud (NRZ) |
| Current measurement range | 0 to 26 mA |
| Crystal frequency | 14.7456 MHz |
The kit can be powered from a 3 V regulated supply or a 4‑10 V unregulated supply selected by a board switch.
A LOCK signal is routed to the parallel‑port interface and can be monitored by the SmartRF® software; it is active high.
The transceiver can output up to 10 mW (10 dBm), programmable in 1 dB steps.
Manchester mode supports up to 9.6 kbit/s (19.2 kbaud) and NRZ mode supports up to 19.2 kbaud.
