Atmel ATAVRMC100 BLDC motor control evaluation kit is an evaluation tool and development board for the AT90PWM3 AVR microcontroller from Atmel. The board includes power bridges for BLDC motors and can realize zero crossing voltage detection, hardware overcurrent detection and PWM output.
The ATAVRMC100 is an evaluation kit for brushless DC motor control, supporting both Hall‑sensor and sensorless operation. It includes an evaluation board, a 3‑phase BLDC motor, a LIN transceiver, and demonstration software, and is intended for rapid evaluation of high‑speed BLDC applications such as HVAC, refrigeration, fans, pumps, elevators, and medical equipment.
The kit features an on‑board AT90PWM3 microcontroller, power bridges capable of 8‑16 V DC operation, zero‑crossing voltage detection, hardware over‑current detection, and motor supply voltage measurement. Programming can be performed via AVRISP or JTAGICE mkII, and the board provides numerous test and debug access points, an expansion connector, and on‑board LIN transceiver (ATA6661).
