1245 Copper Foil Tape is a high conductivity, pressure sensitive, EMI shielding tape consisting of an aggressive pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive and an embossed deadsoft copper foil backing.
The 3M 1245 Tape is an embossed 1‑ounce dead‑soft copper foil backing with an aggressive pressure‑sensitive acrylic adhesive. The embossing pattern penetrates the adhesive to provide reliable metal‑to‑metal contact, making it suitable for grounding and EMI shielding applications. It is supplied on a removable liner and can be die‑cut to custom widths (¼" to 23") and lengths (standard 18 yd, longer on request).
Typical shielding effectiveness ranges from 75 dB to 85 dB (30 MHz to 1 GHz). The copper foil backing is solderable, resists oxidation, and meets UL flame‑retardancy standards. Technical specifications such as backing thickness, total thickness, breaking strength, adhesion, and electrical resistance are provided in the sheet.
