About this manual

The AD8331, AD8332, and AD8334 are single‑, dual‑, and quad‑channel ultralow‑noise, linear‑in‑dB variable‑gain amplifiers (VGAs) optimized for ultrasound systems. Each channel includes a low‑noise preamplifier (LNA), a 48 dB X‑AMP® VGA, and a selectable post‑amplifier with adjustable output clamping.

The devices operate from a single 5 V supply, support gain ranges from –4.5 dB to +43.5 dB (LO) or 7.5 dB to 55.5 dB (HI), and are rated for –40 °C to +85 °C. They are available in QSOP, TSSOP, and LFCSP packages for flexible board integration.
