About this manual

The MAX3322E and MAX3323E are RS‑232 transceivers designed for multidrop applications. They operate from 3.0 V to 5.5 V, provide up to 250 kbps data rates, and include pin‑selectable 5 kΩ or high‑impedance receivers. The devices feature a dual charge‑pump that generates ±5.5 V output levels and a VL pin for mixed‑voltage system compatibility.

Both parts offer high ESD protection (+15 kV HBM, +8 kV IEC contact, +15 kV IEC air‑gap) and shutdown capability with less than 10 µA supply current. The MAX3322E provides 2 Tx/2 Rx, while the MAX3323E provides 1 Tx/1 Rx, and they are available in space‑saving TSSOP and DIP packages.
