The LM1881, LM1881-X video sync separator is a typical IC application in video signal processing
The LM1881 video sync separator extracts timing information—including composite and vertical sync, burst/back‑porch and odd/even field data—from standard NTSC, PAL and SECAM video signals. It works with composite inputs from 0.5 V to 2 V p‑p and provides separate composite sync, vertical sync, burst gate/back‑porch and odd/even field outputs.
The device operates from a single 5 V‑12 V DC supply, offers up to 150 kHz horizontal scan rates, and is available in both standard (0 °C to +70 °C) and extended (‑40 °C to +85 °C) temperature ranges. Detailed electrical characteristics, absolute maximum ratings and application notes are included for designers.
