This document is a detailed introduction to the Thera-3 thermostat, including the design, materials, application scenarios, and features of the thermostat
The Thera-3 thermostat series consists of a handwheel with lid and socket, a sensor (liquid‑ or wax‑filled), a spindle assembly and a brass, nickel‑plated connection nut. Materials include white or anthracite plastic for the handwheel and brass for the nut. The thermostats are installed on thermostatic valve bodies (TRV) to control room temperature by regulating heating water flow.
The manual lists dimensions, connection types (M30 × 1.5, Danfoss snap, M28 × 1.5), set‑point ranges, temperature ranges, and compliance with European Standard EN215. It also provides ordering codes, accessory part numbers, and installation examples for both internal and remote sensor versions.
| Thermostat connection types | M30 × 1.5, Danfoss snap, M28 × 1.5 (HZ‑type) |
|---|---|
| Setpoint range | 0‑5 °C (with zero‑position) or 5‑28 °C (without zero‑position) |
| Temperature range | 1‑28 °C (with zero‑position) or 6‑28 °C (without zero‑position) |
| Closing dimension | 11.5 mm (Thera‑3) or 9.5 mm (Thera‑3‑HZ) |
Thera‑3 thermostats are available with M30 × 1.5 connections, Danfoss snap connections, and M28 × 1.5 (HZ‑type) connections.
With the zero‑position (‘0’) the set‑point range is 0 °C to 5 °C.
Without the zero‑position the thermostat operates from 6 °C to 28 °C.
Thera‑3 has a closing dimension of 11.5 mm, while Thera‑3‑HZ measures 9.5 mm.
