MAX3570/MAX3571/MAX3573 low-cost, wideband, dual-conversion tuner chips are designed for digital TV receivers. Each chip integrates all necessary RF functional modules, including an integrated HI-IF filter, a fully integrated VCO, and an IF VGA. The operating frequency ranges from 50MHz to 878MHz, while providing more than 60dB of RF and IF controllable gain range. MAX3570/MAX3571 have IF frequencies centered at 44MHz, while MAX3573 has IF output centered at 36MHz. All three chips include a variable-gain RF front end with a noise figure of only 8dB. A dual synthesizer produces two LO frequencies and provides excellent phase noise performance with phase noise of -86dBc/Hz at 10kHz offset. The integrated HI-IF filter has a 55dBc (typ.) image rejection. Only one IF SAW filter, passive loop filter and crystal oscillator are needed to build a complete single-chip tuner. MAX3570 chip programming and configuration are accomplished by a 3-wire serial interface, while MAX3571/MAX3573 chip programming and configuration are accomplished by a 2-wire serial interface. MAX3570/MAX3571/MAX3573 are packaged in a 48-pin QFN-EP package and are capable of operating in the commercial temperature range (0°C to +70°C).
The MAX3570, MAX3571 and MAX3573 are low‑cost, broadband, double‑conversion tuner chips for digital TV receivers. Each integrates a HI‑IF filter, VCO, and IF VGA, operating from 50 MHz to 878 MHz with up to 60 dB gain range. The devices are offered in a 48‑pin QFN‑EP package and support 2‑wire or 3‑wire serial interfaces for configuration.
The document provides absolute maximum ratings, detailed electrical characteristics, pin descriptions, register maps, typical application circuits, and packaging information. It also includes typical performance graphs such as gain versus frequency, noise figure, and phase noise. This manual is written in Chinese.
