About this manual

The ADM4210 is a hot‑swap controller that safely allows a printed‑circuit board to be removed and inserted on a live backplane. It works with an external N‑channel MOSFET and uses an external sense resistor to monitor load current, providing fast over‑current protection and an adjustable analog current limit.

Two variants are offered: the ADM4210‑1 with automatic retry after an over‑current fault, and the ADM4210‑2 that latches off and requires a reset via the ON (ON‑CLR) pin. The device operates from 2.7 V to 16.5 V and is supplied in a 6‑lead TSOT package.
