This document introduces the features of the Intersil X93154 Digitally Controlled Potentiometer (XDCP™), including low noise, low power, 32 taps, stored in non-volatile memory and recalled on subsequent power-up, and can be used in a variety of applications such as bias and gain control, LCD contrast adjustment.
The Intersil X93154 is a solid‑state, digitally controlled potentiometer (XDCP) featuring a resistor array of 31 elements and 32 wiper tap points. The wiper position is set via a 3‑wire serial interface (CS, U/D, INC) and can be stored in non‑volatile memory for recall on power‑up.
The device is offered in 8‑lead MSOP and TDFN packages, operates from a 3 V supply (±10 %), and provides low noise, low power consumption, and high reliability with an endurance of 200 k data changes per bit and 100‑year data retention.
| End‑to‑End Resistance (Rtot) | 35 kΩ min / 50 kΩ typ / 65 kΩ max |
|---|---|
| Wiper Resistance (Rw) | 1 kΩ |
| Temperature Coefficient (RToTaL) | +35 ppm/°C |
| Endurance | 200 000 data changes per bit |
| Data Retention | 100 years |
The X93154 provides 32 wiper tap points.
The wiper position is stored in non‑volatile memory when the CS input goes high while the INC input is also high, and it is recalled on power‑up.
The device operates from a 3 V supply with a tolerance of ±10 %.
The memory can endure at least 200 000 data changes per bit.
