The AT91M40800 microcontroller is a 32-bit RISC microcontroller based on the ARM7TDMI processor core. This processor has a high-performance 32-bit RISC architecture with a high-density 16-bit instruction set and very low power consumption.
The AT91M40800 is a 16/32‑bit microcontroller from Atmel that integrates an ARM7TDMI® core with Embedded ICE™ debugging, 8 KB on‑chip SRAM, a fully programmable External Bus Interface (EBI) and a rich set of peripherals including two USARTs, a 3‑channel 16‑bit timer/counter and 32 programmable I/O lines. It operates from 1.8 V to 3.6 V and supports a temperature range of –40 °C to +85 °C.
The device is offered in a 100‑lead LQFP package (green) and provides up to eight chip‑select lines, an 8‑level priority interrupt controller, power‑saving modules and a watchdog timer. Detailed pin‑out, block diagrams and architectural overviews are included for hardware designers and firmware developers.
