About this manual

The AD7574 is a low‑cost, 8‑bit microprocessor‑compatible analog‑to‑digital converter that uses successive‑approximation technique. It operates from a single +5 V supply, dissipates only 30 mW, and includes an internal comparator and clock oscillator, making it suitable for avionics, instrumentation, and process automation.

Key features include 8‑bit resolution, fast 15 µs conversion time, ratiometric capability, and a variety of interface modes (static RAM, ROM, and slow‑memory). The device is offered in several temperature‑range versions and in 18‑pin DIP packages (plastic N or ceramic Q).
