The ADT7316/ADT7317/ADT7318 is a ±0.5°C accurate digital temperature sensor and quad voltage output 12/10/8-bit DAC
The ADT7316/ADT7317/ADT7318 family combines a 10‑bit temperature‑to‑digital converter with four on‑chip DACs (12‑bit, 10‑bit or 8‑bit depending on the part). They operate from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply and provide buffered voltage outputs, SMBus/I²C and SPI‑compatible serial interfaces, and a standby mode.
The devices are offered in a 16‑lead QSOP package and are targeted at portable instruments, PCs, telecommunications, test equipment and domestic appliances. Detailed specifications, pin configurations, timing diagrams and functional block diagrams are provided in the document.
| Temperature range | -40 °C to +120 °C |
|---|---|
| Supply voltage range | 2.7 V to 5.5 V |
| DAC resolution (ADT7318) | 8 bits |
| DAC resolution (ADT7317) | 10 bits |
| DAC resolution (ADT7316) | 12 bits |
| Temperature sensor accuracy (ADT7318) | ±0.5 °C |
| Power‑down current | <10 pA |
| DAC output voltage range | 0 V to 2 V |
The ADT7318 operates from –40 °C to +120 °C.
The power‑down current is less than 10 pA.
The ADT7316 provides a 12‑bit DAC.
The parts support a 4‑wire SPI/QSPI/MICROWIRE/DSP compatible interface and a 2‑wire SMBus/I²C interface.
