About this manual

The ACS 1000 drive includes backup batteries that limit power‑loss ride‑through to one second. To improve reliability, ABB offers a retrofit auxiliary power upgrade that can use a safe‑line source from the customer's UPS or an internal professional UPS.

Two new power‑supply concepts are provided: a safe‑line solution with external single‑phase control and three‑phase cooling supplies, and an internal UPS solution. Installation typically requires about one working day on‑site, and the upgrade can be ordered with specific ABB service codes.
